MAKING A DIFFERENCE - main project of 2011 - 2012

We continue our cooperation with the city hospice number 3 in Pargolovo. The Hospice was organized only 15 years
ago and this form of taking care of people suffering from cancer is quite new for our country. The number of patients has been growing as cancer is widely spread in Russia.

The hospice doctors and nurses, who are real professionals do their best to soothe pain of the patients, so our project in 2011 will have 3 directions:

  1. Encouraging the staff of the Hospice in their work providing them with the opportunity to take part in the cultural life of the city ( free of charge tickets to museums, theatres etc.)
  2. Redesigning the inner yard of the Hospice:
    • Planting perennial flowers and bushes on the site where the patients rest in the open air (autumn 2010 - spring 2011)
    • Constructing special metal shelters - roofs over the benches, where the patients of the hospice sit, to protect them from the direct sun rays ( 8 benches). People suffering from cancer cannot stay under the direct sun because of their illness (spring 2012)
    • Planting different kinds of climbing plants around metal railings of shelters to create shadowy places over benches (autumn 2012).
  3. If the inner yard of the hospice is redesigned successfully and the benches have sunshade roofs, we will create the quiet and safe place of rest for fatal case patients.

  4. Club member E.Pavlova - master of permanent make-up started her charity programme of helping people after cancer operations to make the scars after operations invisible.
Elena is a certified ( Milan Academy) master of permanent make-up, stylist of the international level, 1prize winner of All-Russia competition in permanent make-up in 2010 offered her program of help to those women, who have some visible consequences of cancer operations.
